When using simple measuring instruments such as a micrometer or ammeter, they hope for the accuracy of measurement, indicated on the tool, obtained as a result of its calibration. Detectors, used at the Large Hadron Collider, are the most sophisticated tools. If the detector is calibrated incorrectly or inaccurately, the energy-momentum of particles will be measured too blurry or even wrong. When the detector is calibrated as accurately as possible, discoveries do not, as a rule, keep us waiting, it is only to increase energy and quantity of particles encountered in the collider. Similarly, a musician whose life is filled with rehearsals and performances, likely will please friends if they ask him to perform something on a normal party.
